Sustainable Livelihoods Programme

Sustainable Livelihoods programme provides capacity building for community groups of especially the disadvantaged members, such as women groups, youth groups and mixed groups in the villages to enhance their production skills, promote solidarity among them, and economic empowerment in order to establish micro projects for income generation spread over the whole diocese / in the whole county.

This programme also includes lobby and advocacy for the protection of women’s rights and leadership roles and promotion of the girl child education in the County.


The programme uses modern technology for crop and livestock productions and improvements through value chains in order to boost food security for the vulnerable groups.


Locally available crafts products are harnessed for sustainable business developments.

Our Projects





Hailstorms Destroy homes and livestock at Maikona in North Horr-Marsabit county.
Catholic Diocese of Marsabit through the Maikona Parish has since provided Ksh150000 in support of the 50 affected families.
